So far the 2023 Northern Virginia housing market has been the weirdest and most challenging markets I have ever seen. The number of home sales are way down, interest rates are hovering right around 7%, home affordability is at an all time high. Yet most homes hitting the market are still selling the first weekend, with multiple offers and for above asking price. So Is there any relief coming for home buyers?
